This is a 3 years project implemented in the districts of Oyam, Sironko and Mpigi between September 2020 to August 2023.

SAU has so far trained 118 Youth with different disabilities in vocational skills and plans to provide/distribute start-up kits for them to start up their businesses.

 

 Objectives of the project.

  1. To empower YWDs through training in basic life skills and raising awareness of their own rights through their encounter with role models and other peers with disabilities.
  2. To campaign and advocate for awareness about YWDs and their rights among families and communities, in schools and workplaces.
  3. To support YWDs in financial independence and dignity through vocational skilling education.
