We are an umbrella organization for and led by youth with different disabilities including those with mental, intellectual, sensory and physical impairments. SAU works with, and for Youth with Disabilities aged 18-30 who face functional barriers in performing activities, ordinarily done by people within this age bracket as a result of mental, intellectual, sensory and physical impairments. These young people with different disabilities felt it was important to have their own organization of Youth with Disabilities for a unified voice to address their unique needs and concerns at both District/local and National levels…….Know More

Our Objectives

To empower youth with disabilities to understand their rights and to stand up and advocate for them, including the right to responsible sexual and reproductive health and practices.

To promote the effective participation of youth with disabilities in political leadership, policy formulation, policy implementation, and decision-making processes at all levels.

To increase the number of youth with disabilities enrolling in institutions of higher learning and achieving good grades or outcomes in courses of their own choice.

To empower youth with disabilities to effectively participate in productive activities and address climate change challenges in order to achieve sustainable livelihoods.

To empower youth with disabilities to understand their rights and to stand up and advocate for them, including the right to responsible sexual and reproductive health and practices.
